limpet and sps

Ok my first sps corals are 2 weeks old and they are doing great.
3 days ago One of my acro's had whitening on the bottom. It also had a large limpet on its stalk in the white area. I wasnt sure if the limpet was eating it or just eating dead tissue. Well yesturday and today I didnt have any additional die off. But just 10 min ago the limpet was back on the stalk and more of it was white now.
I thought they were reef safe!!
WELL he is now in my sump.
I have never heard of this.
I will continue to look and see if I have any spead of the necrosis.
Interesting I bought 6 limpetts but this is the only one ive seen take an interest in my SPS
