Lighting Question

I have a 46 bow with the HQI just 6" above the water with the legs and need it to go higher and I can't hang anything on my ceiling.I'm not very handy so what do you suggest other than 2x4's?Better that than spending 700.00 on this new system that does not heat the water by Aquatinics. No legs, just place over the tank they say.I need to invent something.700.00 is alot of dough.

Post a pic of the lights with the legs, maybe you can make something fairly simple. How high do you need to go?

you can make a PVC support that can go behind the tank and hang the high from that too

Why dont you use shelf brackets off the wall to suspend it?

Re

I need it higher because it's raising the temps about 2 degrees hotter with the fan.

I'm gonna think about it. There is an easy way but wont be so pretty, I'm gonna see if I can come up with a pretty way without hanging the lights. BTW, I would just hang them with a pully system to raise and lower them for coral acclimation. It's what I'm doing on my tank.

Lighting solution!

Bought this at a Home Goods store in NY.12.99 each and they're originally shelves but it was perfect for lifting up the lights. Not the best to look at but at least it serves it's purpose.
