Lighting question???


Hi...

I was wondering if some body can throw me a bone over here???

I was lucky enough to aquire 1 MH 5500k and 2 10,000k power compacks. I have a 37 gl tall. How long should I have them on for???

IMO i would run the power compacts for 12 hours a day and the MH for 10. Use the PC's to simulate sunrise and set.

Photoperiod


Depends on what you are keeping but a gradual work up by 1/2 hour a week to 12 hours on the PC and 8 to 10 hrs, on the MH would be in the generally accepted "ballpark" for a reef photoperiod. IMHO start with a few hours a day and work up slowly. HTH

depending how the color looks to you , you might want to replace one 10KK with an actinic
