lighting over a center brace

I have been meaning to ask this ? ..I have a 150 gal reef tank(glass) and I'm keeping LPS, a few SPS and clams. The tank is 48" long x 24" tall x 30" wide, I'm running 2x250 watt 10K HQI mini pendants, one on each open end of the tank. The tank has a 16" wide center brace (1/2" thick glass) I would like to add a 250 watt Iwasaki bulb right over the center brace to give more light to the center of the tank. The bulb will be mounted in a 24" PFO reflector, this way I can mount 2 of my 55 watt PC actincs for dawn dusk......

Do you think my tank\corals will benifit from the 65K bulb in center of the tank or will I lose too much light from the center brace to be effective?

Mark

Mark my 55 wide sump(used to be reef) has a glass brace about 8" wide. It collects salt creep but if you clean it Im sure a 250w will be better than nothing under there
