Lighting Opinions ?

Looking at a 120 gallon XH. It is 60x18x26.

I can get a few 400watt MH ballasts for free. I am thinking of doing 2 10K MH's then adding 3 VHO's after a little while.

The reason for the VHO's later is the cost.

Is this good lighting for most corals?

Sure, the 250 will ok tho 400 are prolly better. If you get good reflectors the 2 will cover most of the tank and low lite stuff will like the darker ends. The VHO will make up for that some, but hi light animals will need to be centered under the strong light
