Lighting for FOWLR

I have a 44 galllon corner pent tank with 2 23 inch sides and 3 13 inch sides its about 26 inches deep. Would a 150 Watt MH be effictive for this tank or could I get by with some PC's

Thanks

For a FOWLR the PC's will prolly be OK, the fish wont care, if you have enuff room, try and fit a couple 96 watt one white, one blue, they are about 36 inches long.
OK since you are looking at reef eventually go with the MH to begin with, a 250 Iwasaki would be a good starting point

IMO, a halide would provide superb lighting for your tank and would allow the addition of some corals if you later decided to add them. If you know you will not be keeping any corals, then, the halide might be overkill, a couple of pc lamps would be plenty.

I think that tank shape would be ideal for a MH pendant. fwiw
