Lighting for a 10, or 20 gallon Nano with 10 gallon sump
I havn't been on much lately due to work. My nano cube is at my sisters house, and im looking to set up a tank at my own house. I was thinking of a 10, or 20 gallon. I was wondering what lights would work best. Im looking to keep mostly lps and zoo's. I was thinking about a 70w Viper light, but any suggestions would be welcomed. what would the diffrence between the 70, and 150 be? Im still in the research process. I would like t5's, but for a small tank they are more expensive then the Viper.

With it being 9" or so above the water, wiskey tells me that I would be fine with a 150W MH light on my 12G nano tank. The light I bought from know-it-all and he was putting it on a 10G nano tank. So you should be fine. If it is toooo much light, you can raise it off the tank.

sorry i miss understood the question but a 20 long is 30in long and a single mh light is said to cover a 2ft by 2ft area so youd be better off with 2 70 watts

Thats why i would prefer to go with t5's, or Power Compacts, but any fixture i've seen is above 250. While i can get a viper lamp for about 130 used.

Softies for sure, maybe some limited LPS/SPS depending on how high in the tank you can get them.
