Lighting advice


What you guys think about this light for a 55 gallon Fowlr?

For fish only it is fine. If you want to keep any corals or think you might in the future, I would go to a 4 bulb unit and one that has individual reflectors.

If you think you might get into corals I would go with something like this

TEK fixture is a 4 bulb fixture

Or upgrade to the Nova Extreme Pro but they only have a 6 bulb fixture that I see. Not sure if it would be to wide for the tank though. I didn't see dimensions there.

For a fish only with live rock, you just need aenough light to view the fish. A normal strip light would provide that. After that it is preference on how much light you want, do you want the shimmer effect associated with metal halides?

FOWLR is ok,But I'd go with a 4 bulb unit.
