Thumbs up

LFS Index

Most of you probably already know this, but I didn't and I am ussuming a few other dont either. The F.I.N.S. website has a LFS directory. You just select your state and it list stores in your area w/ reviews. Also is linked to the stores website (if they have one). Very helpful. Heres the link:

About.com has a listig as well:

http://saltaquarium.about.com/librar...rms=fish+store

They are good references, but I find them out of date most of the time. I noticed for the Washington state listing, they did not list Deep Sea Gallery and CoralVision.

The best source of stores in local cities are YOU GUYS and GALS.

At least I know the reviews are authentic and not skewed.

Not bad, but only one of the stores that I have ever visited was listed. I clicked on the link to that one stores website and it took me to an adult sex site.

I have only been to Brooklyn Aquarium on Flatbush. Lots of great stuff, but REALLY high on the prices. (hermits for $5) He does have a really nice Yellow leather in his display tank (he won't frag it, I asked...)

Do you know of any other marine stores here in Brooklyn?

Bingo: actually I live in Queens, but I have heard that there are three different LFS right in the same areas, I have heard some positive info on Brooklyn Aquarium, but I am kinda wondering about how the other two are. Btw how's BA's coral selections? I am looking for some ricordias and any thing with nice coloration. but the LFS I use here in Queens (Aquatic Treasure) haven't gotten any thing in for the past month.
