LFS in the Chicago Area?

I am visiting relatives. I may need to escape to a LFS for some quiet time.

I am Northwest of town and would prefer to not drive into the city (getting lost)

I am going to also be in Wisconsin a little?

Many Thanks
WG

That depends on where you are staying. In Fox Lake there is a decent shop called Something Fishy, in Mundelein there is a place called Sho Tank. Best bet is to lake a look in the Yellow pages. There is an amazing store in Park Ridge but I forget the name.

I think you should make them all go to the Shedd Aquarium, or at least go by yourself. It's kind of childish (but aren't we all) and pretty interesting and really easy to get to. Just take Lake Shore Drive, exit at 18th Street. Follow around Soldier Field. Signs will indicate Visitor Parking. Shedd is just to the North of the parking garage. Highway 55 North turns into Lake Shore Drive.
