LFS in Anchorage, Alaska?

Hi all,

I've got an online aquaintance in Anchorage, and she's looking for a freshwater LFS (possibly saltwater.... but she's done fresh before).

She's looking to set up 55+ gallon tank, wants a good store, and she'd prefer not to go where they sell puppies, kittens or herps (ethical reasons).

If any TRTer can recommend a place, I'd be much obliged!

Cheers,
Jenn

Hey Jenn, I have a customer in Eagle River, Alaska...I will send him an e-mail and see what's avaialbe. From what I understand, there isn't any. Almost everything he has gotten for all of his reef tanks (4) had to be shpped in, even 500 lbs of live rock.

But I will find out for sure.

Jenn, I heard back from Jerry (customer in Alaska), and he says there isn't any....there are stores, but he won't go into them. He said that they are dirty, tanks are never clean, dead fish either laying in the tanks or on the counter watiting to be tossed away....EEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW... He oders all of his stuff from down here.

Possibly they can group order to save on shipping costs...

Why not just get a huge tank and keep one of them Alaskan Salmon in it....

Or a reef with Alaskan King Crabs... Talk about a cleanup crew...
