Letter Of Appreciation!!

As we move forward in the new year, I would like to extend my appreciation to Brooke(founder of TRT forum) for having the courage, vision and desire to have a discussion board where there would be no flaming and we all could come together(no matter what our experience was in reef keeping) and ask questions and to add our view points to threads that were posted.
There are so many members here who have shared their knowledge and have taking the time to care and to understand what others are going through or about to experience in this outstanding hobby.
Thanks to Brooke, we can come here and really learn and feel the joy of creating a small piece of the ocean in our own homes or where ever it may be.
I truely believe this is the only forum where you can feel like you belong and you are treated with respect. I believe this forum has set the standards by which all other forums should try to attain and unfortunately many fail in the attempt.
Pat and I would like to extend our gratitude for a job well done Brooke and to all the TRT members a heart warm "Thank you" for all your contributions and encouragement you have given us in having a reef aquarium that we can be proud of and to enjoy for years to come.
"THE REEF TANK FORUM" is the future of reef keeping in what it brings to this hobby now and what it will bring to future generations of reef hobbyists(many will be our kids) as we face new challenges ahead! Best Regards, Johnny & Pat

JOhnny great words and I feel the same way. I have been in this hobby for a number of years and have dropped on and off many of the boards out thier. This Board is definatly different and has lots of good people, regardless of knowledge. A testament to Brooke and the people she has assembled. Even Doug is OK. .

Johnny I think those drugs have turned you into quite the Philosapher

Johnny has said it all. As a new member last year, I came, lurked, and when I saw how friendly everyone was, I stayed.

Thanks Brooke. Thanks to all the members whom have helped me over the past year. I believe most of my success can be attributed to the information I received from this board. ( I said most because I am not sure about some of the stuff Drew has told me)

Hey Jeff! The ribs are quite painful and will be for awhile. The doc told me today that a broken rib ranks in the top 5 for pain. Will be home all next week and hopefully the pain will have died down enough for me to go back to work! Thanks for asking! Johnny

Great post, Johnny! I agree completely, too! I used to cruise several boards, but now, just TRT and RC. I don't even go to .org (you know what one I mean) any more to read, let alone post. A couple of weeks and 2 or 3 posts were 2 or 3 too many!

Ditto here.....being a "newbie" I was afraid to post thinking my questions were stupid or you guys would think..."Man how many times do we have to answer that question from newbies?" You've all been great and I love the quick response time to my questions as well.

Now if someone could please tell me how to create a link to my tank specs in my signature to ease answers to my questions....

Thank you Johnny!

I think Andrew really nailed it. We are more than just a reef board...we are a nice little community of people with a shared interest. I think we have a pretty great bunch of people around here!

Thanks to all for your continued support. Hopefully we can grow and expand in 2002 while still keeping the philosophies of the board alive!

Brooke
