Lets start a thread to start donating equipment for alpha6 and his tank!

Hey guys,

I just read about alpha6's friend who died in Iraq, I was thinking we could all donate any unused/extra equipment we have......we all have a 'bin' somewhere

I'll start ..... I have an aqua C Urchin skimmer from my old 75g tank, I'd be happy to mail it to Maryland if there is an interest.

Patman & EricP, thanks for the thoughtful gesture. Although very appreciated, it is not necessary. I'm not a millionaire, but I can cover the expenses to get this reef going (actually, my wife says I spend like a millionaire - but that's another story).

Thank you so much for thinking of donations. What I seek however is advice as I move this small project forward. I know I'll have many questions while I try to filter through the many opinions out there.

I called my friend's sister and told her about this post. It touched her as it did me. Support our troops through prayer, if you're so inclined; or by simply thanking a vet or active member you might know. This goes a long way. The aquarium, I can outfit myself (with advice).

Alpha6, sorry to hear of the loss of your friend, there are no words that make up for the loss but coming from a military family as i do, rest assured that i mourn the loss of each and everyone. Thats a risk that every man and woman who enters the service takes. I wish with all my heart that the world was a place that conflict was unknown, but till it is, brave men and women will stand watch and guard the freedoms we take for granted here.
The idea of a living memorial is a great idea, and we would be proud and honored to help you bring this to Fruition.
