Leather Question?

I have a question. The other day I treated my tank with Seachem Reef Complete and my leather wilted. It was about the size of a egg. It was full and the polyps were beautiful burt after I dosed it it shrank almost flat with the rock it was on. Now it is comming back but it is about 1/3 the orginal size. I also use Kent Nano-Reef part A+B.

sometimes corals and leathers have to expell waste to do so they will deflate. just keep and eye on it it should come back to normal.

I think it'll be fine. I had a toadstool who's crown shape would change almost daily and it would move it's crown in different directions by bending its stalk. Every once in a while it would shrink as you describe, for no reason apparent to me. After a few days it was back to normal. I've read that they adapt to your tank and change shapes/angles until they 'get it right' for the tank and also morph shape as they mature with your tank.

I think it is a Finger. It is almost purple. When the polyps come out they are a dark brown. It is a very neat coral. The main stalk is shaped like a candy cane. I bought it as a frag, so I am looking forward to seeing it grow and mature. I have grown to really like leathers I want some more.

Thanks for all the help,
Alan
