Lazy Condylactis

I have a small Condylactis anemone. About walnut size small. When I first got him he was about 4 inches across. He never seemed to stick to rocks and would sit on the bottom being pushed by the current. Then a much larger Tomato clown that loved the condy was added to the tank. The tomato would end up pushing the the condy all over the tank. Just like he was pushin a rock, pushin a rock. Because of this the anemone was always under the live rock and has shrunk. Now I have him in a small 10 gallon micro reef I just set up. The condy seems to be making a recovery and is starting to get his coloring back. however he still doesn't stick to the rocks. he doesn't try moving anywhere and right now is turning himself inside out Could it be that my anemone was dropped on his head as a child?

I hate to tell you but if its staying withdrawn and not attaching it is probably well into the dying phase. They make a horrid mess when the do and start to break down. Mine did pretty much the same thing and made such a mess in my original 29 that I went ahead and sett up a 55g I had been workin on turning into a reef. That was my only experience with "EASY" anemones. I don't rescue them anymore
