lawnmower blenny

I've read in Marine depot Live.com that therse blennys may be prone to attacking tangs and angels and may nip at corals.I have a tang and a frag and no attacks yet and never I hope.Any truth to this?I'm worried about this because if so,he's got to go and I'll never catch him with all that rock work and I don't feel like moving all that rock to get him.

Actually yes,
they will nip at various things,
i have seen my guy go after others, but usally as a this is my spot. i belive any nipping towards corals would be for looking for something to eat and not meant to eat the coral..

I have had them in three tanks now and they never seem to nip other fish but if someone comes by to his little patch he is working on the blenny might chase it away.

Most of the aggression is towards mowing down that algae.

do they eat hair algae? How old does a tank have to be before one is added?

they are not really a hair alga eater per say, they go after the thin film you get on the glass and LR, turbo snails and other snails and hermmets and even some fish will go after the hair.

The question is should I get rid of him or keep him in my reef tank?He does look a bit intimidating but a gentle creature.I'll keep him for now.He seems docile enough.
