labouts fairy wrasse help

I was hoping someone that has experience with a labouts fairy wrasse could help me. I ordered one of these from live aquaria two weeks ago and he has been doing great, eating, swimming around but since yesterday he is hiding and only comes out when food is in the tank and he is not eating as much as he first was. All my other fish are doing great. My question is, Is he sick or is this something these fish do?? I am really concerned with the way he is acting. I do not see anything harassing him. All my fish are wimpy small fish. Any input would be great.tank is a 120 aga reef that has been running for almost 2 years. Water param. are all fine.

Gorgeous fairy...

Labout's Fairy Wrasse

My experience with fairy wrasses is that they all have different personalities and some can take quite a while to get used to captivitiy and being in your tank. I had a Scott's that really only came out for food---and a solar that was always out--couldn't take a picture without him trying to get in it.

Make sure you've got your tanked sealed up well. I've lost all of my fairy wrasses to carpet surfing...

He is a beautiful fish. And he seems to be a little more active today. He ate pretty good too!! Jodi, Did your scotts do alright other than he was a hider. I quess I would be happy if he was just a hider and was healthy.

My Scotts did great...very healthy...although a picky eater at first. He did like the frozen mysis....so I mixed the flake with mysis. Helped him adjust. He did hide quite a bit, but got pretty brave just before meeting his unfortunate end....
