He came from Dr foster and smith live aquaria. Thanks everyone for the compliments. He is a beauty. Very happy with live aquaria and would def. get more fish from them.

I use eggcrate on top of my 120 gallon. They will stay in the tank.

Get this: I use a typical hinged glass top - with the cut-away plastic strip across the back on my bowfront tank. The only space that is open to the world is a little gap around the pcv return pipe where it hangs over the back edge. I lost a solarensis through that hole. I think fairy wrasses need to be medicated. They really do have psychological problems IMO.

Oh, I love the fairy wrasses, but, I don't have any anymore 'cause of their jumping. I know what you're saying, Heyoo, they do have a knack for finding that one tiny opening and launching themselves through it. I also lost a solarensis the same way. I could not believe that fish jumped out. I kept looking in the tank for him until I finally found his little jerkyfied body on the carpet behind the tank. I also lost two red-fin flashers the same way. Just before jumping online tonight, I added some topoff water to my 55, and as I poured the water in, my chalkbass tried to launch herself from the tank. Fortunately, she landed on the acrylic top and then flipped back into the tank. I think some fish are just plain suicidal.

I think it more likely that they don't realize there could be such a thing as no water!
