Korallin vs. Schuran: Place your votes
I'm targeting a calcium reactor for my next acquisition. Which one should I pick. Korallin C-1501 or Schuran Jetstream 1. I'm not looking for a piece of equipment to fuss with each day either. Looking for a set it/forget it. Unless, of course it needs a refill. In addition, do I need a PH controller or just a regulator and tank. Anyone know a good place where to get the regulator/tank setup?

I don't know anything about them 2 you listed. I do know about MRC's reactors, They are great and You can get advice and everything You need from them. Andy will help you pick the one you need and he sell the controllers, regulators and anything else You need. once set up they are pretty simple to operate. They are also a TRT sponsor.

Agree with Vince. I got my CR-2 from Andy...and after the initial set up, I barely ever touched it again. Awesome equipement!!
As for the Controller...they are a bit pricey...but worth it. Already spending a good bit on the system..might-as-well get the controller to help it run much more efficiently.

Another option.
May have to do some investigating into the MRC unit, as well. The one thing I liked about the Korallin is that it utilizes the CO2 100% and does not contribute to the PH swing blues.

I just got a jetstream 1 about 3 weeks ago, and still trying to get it working. I'm getting a little fustrated. Really nice piece of equipment, but not easy to setup.

I have the Korallin C-1501 and love it. I also have a pinpoint pH controller on it. I would not be as happy if I didn't have the controller. The controller is not necessary but I found the the needle valve on the CO2 regulator is very sensitive and was very difficult to get perfect. I suppose I could have found a better needle valve and saved some money.

Yeah, IMO the controller is a crucial piece of equipment for any calcium reactor. Not that it cant be done without one.........
