Question

killer.

Can hair algea kill polyps. I have two polyps that won't open lately. I have had them for about 2-3 weeks and they have opened nicely. but now there is hair algea growing around them and they wont open. is it some how " choking" them.

Run some PhosBan. That seems to have worked fastest for me. Also find the source of phosphates and eliminate that as well.

No familiar with the micro vert. Too much of it maybe. Waste collection. Over stocked. Over feeding. Full sand bed. Just a few of the many things.
