Kenya Tree

How can I anchor a small frag of a Kenya Tree. No matter where I put it, I find it in the sand at the base of the rocks the next morning. Can I glue it to a rock? if so what kind of glue? Can I do it under water or take them out of the tank and expose both to air?

just rubberband the base to a rock... after a week or so it should grab a hold of the rock on its own and then you can remove the rubberband.

You can superglue it, but you will have to take it out of the water for a few minutes. Just dry the base and the rock well and use the gel type superglue. Sometimes they will "slime" up pretty good and make the glueing diffacult, so then I go with the rubberband method. Both work well.

As an alternate method, as I've had zero success with glue or expoxy of any sort on soft corals, try a hypodermic needle from a syringe. I first saw it in Coral magazine and tried it with success. The diameter of the needle is small enough that it won't leave a major wound in the coral, and it's made of stainless steel which didn't rust in the two weeks I left it on the coral. Most rock has holes small through which the small diameter of the needle will fit into.
With rubberbands, you have to be careful that the tension isn't too tight, it'll cut the coral right in two, or too loose, the coral will slip right out of it.
