Does anyone here use a Kent "Bare Bones" R/O unit? If so could someone tell me if this is a good quality unit or not?

thanks,

I have the 20 GPD unit. It works well. I am about to get something else, because it can't keep up with my demands anymore. I now have 3 tanks...and hate waiting for the water. Overall it is a good unit...It's a good unit to get started with...

I chose to go with the Kent 24 gpd full size unit. It was only a little more( about $125) and the carbon and micron prefilters are a welocome addition as I am on a well not city water. I do run 2 Tap Water Purifier cartridges on the out put end of the RO, got them on sale at Premium Aquatics for $18 each
I may replace the RO membrane with a 60 gpd when its time but so far I keep up with the 75 system OK using trash cans to store RO/DI in and another to feed the float valve that tops off the tank.

i was using a twp and it is such a waste of money.it didnt remove nearly as much of all the garbage as i thought it would.in the long run the people at trt.com were right! so i invested in a maxima 60gpdro/di for about $200 including shipping .im still waiting for it but im sure it was a good investment if you look at the numbers. twp is $50, each cartrige which doesnt do what its supposed to do is about $20. after seven cartriges you already paid for the ro/di unit and make a huge difference in water quality. if im wrong , please let me know.

I bought the unit and I thought it was junk. Did not seem to remove silicates. Spend the extra $$$ and go with a better unit, you won't be sorry.

Dont forget the AquaFX Barracuda units. You can get a 100gpd unit from Brian at Atlantis Aquatics for $229 and you wont have to wait so long for your water.

I agree. Go with the full blown model. You won't be sorry and you won't be looking to upgrade in a few months.
