keeping corals alive during transport

tonight, i'm going to get a plate and sarcophyton from a hobbyist who lives an hour away. this is the first time i'm traveling so far away to get livestock, and i'm concerned w/ plummetting water temperature. how can i keep the water temp stable? are there any other related tricks that you'd like to share?

For only an hour, I would just heat up the cooler before hand.
