why? raising Ca levels above 350 can just cause problems with your pumps.

you can not add Ca to a kalk mix. it will cause the Ca to precipt out of solution.

what level is your Ca now? what level is your alk. if they are not balanced you will have all kinds of problems.

just as a thought i never understand, except if you have a large amount of corals using the Ca up before your WWC, why you would add anthing above and beyond what is provided in IO salt for example. My levels are always right and havent added one thing yet

Sounds like the volume knob going up to 11 scene in the SpinalTap movie. Like already mentioned, kalk is balanced. Add your turbo calcium to the level you want it to be and THEN flip the switch on the kalkreactor. If you test after that is done and your ca level is falling, you may need a calcium reactor.

1.023? that is ok for a FO tank but not for a reef tank. Natural sea water is about 1.025/1.026. You need to raise your SG that might be a factor

I would stop using kalk for now, then boost your Ca with just plain Ca supplement to 420ppm. Then use your kalk to maintain Ca levels you have boosted!
