Kalk Drip Q's

A few kalk questions --

When dripping or dosing KALK is it ok to have the kalk-water a little milky/cloudy?

-or-

Does it need to be as clear as possible?

I am setting up my auto top-off and I am thinking of just adding kalk powder to my RO tank and keep a small powerhead running in there, but the water might be a little cloudy.

Will the kalk plug up the pump with calcium deposits?

I was also reading that a little vinegar in the kalkwater makes it more effictive because you can supersaturate the water and offset PH changes ...

Are small amounts of vinegar ok for top-off kalk-water?

Thanks in advance for the advice

That's fine. Since you are dripping slowly, it will not have an effect on the clarity of the water.

Yes, eventually. You just need to clean it once in a while. But that is true of all pumps in your system.

Yep... see this thread: http://www.thereeftank.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=52969
