I have been bitten by a false perc on numerous occasions. As Yardboy said (and it's true in my case), I think the reaction to the bite often leads to more injury that the actual bite!

hahahah. Probably.
But I don't worry about the fish so much. But I HAVE learned to respect the nematocysts. I bump my hammer, and my entire back almost instantly tenses up. Happened on several occasions.

My dogface bit me - I was trying to handfeed my tiny snowflake and the puffer came after the food, missed it and bit me. No broken skin.
I added a small lionfish to my FOWLR recently - the puffer seems to be in love with it!
I give the lion wide berth, but just curious - how bad is a sting? are we talking a few tears or a 911 drama?

I think we are talking closer to the 911 trauma. I don't think a sting will kill you, but it will hurt like you are on fire.

Redlip blenny every time I was in the tank. It didn't hurt but would always startle me if I didn't see it coming. One day when it bit me I jerked my arm out so fast it slung him on the floor. From that point on it had a new home. Had a Clarks clown that would bite me in the webbing between my fingers and draw blood. One day at the shop my father was talking to someone and had a hand resting on the lip of a tank with his fingers in the tank. A queen trigger took a bite and when jerked his arm away he pulled it right out and onto the floor.

Heh! THAT was bad...
Been stung by a carpet once, several times by an irridescent neon green branching Euphyllia and a few times by a purple and green one.
continuously bitten/nipped by clownfishes, lost a chunk from the tip of my right index finger several years ago to a hungry Picasso Trigger when I put my hand on the top rail trim to lean over and look into the holding tank.

Don't know about the dwarfs, but as for the larger lionfish...I've read that it's supposedly one of the most painful experiences known. But I'd also heard the same thing about the irukandji (killer jellyfish). See this thread for more details on the irukandji.
I'm guessing this applies to marine toxin's and nematocysts in general.
But Chris is right...I'd read descriptions from articles by people who were stung, and according to them, it TRULY feels like your entire body is engulfed in flames.
I imagine it's probably not as strong with the dwarf lions...but even HALF of that experience sound pretty bad to me!
