"Spot", our mascot, is a Chainlink Moray, Echidna catenata. They are primarily crustacean eaters, but can take fish and may reach 2.5~3' in length. (I have seen one source that says 5') Morays are problematical in a reef tank because they are large and can knock over loosly stacked rocks and corals. Your inverts and most fish are at peril as well.

We have had a baby Chainlink for 3 months and he has grown from about 6" to 8". He is in a 38 FOWLR set up as his nursery. Eventually he will go into a 6' tank. He is one of my favorites! We hand feed him frozen Lance Fish. I tried putting a
Coral Banded Shrimp in with him as they do live in sybiosis as cleaners in the wild but after 3 weeks, the experiment failed!
