Just redid my sump, have a small amount of microbubbles this ok?

I ditched all my sponges and extended the drain 1/2 inch into the water but now I do have a small amount of micro bubbles, This ok? Don't some fish get air stuck in the eyes if there are too many?

The microbubbles won't harm your fish, there mainly an eyesore,... can you put a 90 on the bottom of your drain to point the bubbles away from the return pump? It doesnt' always work, and don't glue it so you can remove later,.. but it's an eazy thing to try.

ill get some pics a bit later, i tried the 90 turndown but it didn't really do anygood, The best thing I came up with was to use some of the sponges on each side of the skimmer inlet and let it try to suck as much stuff directly as possible.

The skimmer is what's causing the bubbles?

nope not skimmer its the overflow, The sump needs a much better bubble diffuser than the current one is the real issue I think, I just don't know how to go about fixing it
