Just Introduced A Naso Tang

After long consideration on getting a new "Main" Fish. I decided to go with this beautiful large female Naso Tang. I am a little concerned with my purple tang (he's a little aggressive). The purple tang had claimed the life of 2 other tangs before, (a powder blue and a gold rim). But they were both smaller than the purp. This Naso is 3 times the size of him, so I feel she will do just fine. What do you guys think?
I will keep you guys posted on her progress...

RM,
That 155 might become a bit small for those two if they don't get along! Have you already added the Naso?

Yes, I just added her last night. So far, so good. I feel the 155 is plenty of room. I see them in 55's, 75's & 125's all the time...

Eeek! I hope no one would put a naso in a 55g or 75g! Scott Michael recommends a 135g as a minimum for naso. We usually recommend people who keep the larger tangs to have them in a tank at least 6' long. This allows them the swimming space they like. Good luck with her! They are beautiful fish!

Yes, Brooke. It is a 6 foot tank.

The lights came on today (the first time for my new Naso). And she is hiding under some rock, and wont come out. Is this normal behavior?

Schizo Tang new tang behavior, esp if the purple has been at it. Nice fish but they get over 12 " easily and at that size they need more space, I had one years ago that I adopted to a 240g home

That tank is going to be very crowded when the sweetlips and the tang get bigger. Good luck.
