Just in case anyone wants to keep a cleaner shrimp with a hawkfish....

make sure the shrimp is BIG and he goes in BEFORE the hawkfish! My husband brought home another cleaner shrimp yesterday to help with the ich. We have one already and the flame hawk actually gets CLEANED by him. So we put the new one in and about an hour later my husband and I are watching the tank and he says "what is that hanging out of Mojo's mouth?" I said "your new cleaner shrimp!"
Well it turns out Mojo just got his front antenae but has desperately been trying to catch him ever since! As are we. I wonder who will win!

I believe the hawkfish was licking him to get the taste...

Shrimp: "could you clean that spot in the middle of my back?"
Hawkfish: (with a thoughtful look) "hmmm... lemon or cocktail sauce???"

Something tells me your Hawkfish has been reminded of his natural diet and your other shrimp might be on the menu now as well.
