With heaters I'm finding my chiller does all the work and my heaters are never on. It must be the lights. I would go with two, a little underpowered. I recently had a problem with my heater in the RO water. (water was 110) boy was i shocked and scared . Its the same brand (Won - Pro Heat) thats in my tank sump. Need to change that.

My only fear is at night, depending on how cool your house is at night. I wont want to see a drop in the temp. I have no fact to back this up.

I keep my house at 76 so the tank stays around 78 due to the pumps

I keep the house around 70 to 72 all year. There can be a daily temp change of about 6 degrees without the heaters. ( I dont let it do that though) Im mostly concerned with a large swing in temp, not so much staying warm. Of course once the chiller is in it will be alot more stable.

I will have to see what the summer is like here as far as temp of the tank water , It is the first time I have had one in the basement , I hope it stays cool , I call the basement the icecave it is always cold, will have to see , I really don't want to invest in a chiller, will if I have to,

The only part of that design that I can claim in any way is mine is the idea to shoot the high returns and bottom returns seperate from each other.
What got me thinking on that was wanareef saying that water will go to the place of least resistance so all of it would go through the 2in returns instead of spliting evenly between the 2in and the 1in.
SOO I figured if I only let it go through one option at a time then it should work.
Without this forum I'd never come up with any of this tank!
