Yeah thats how I settled on the size I listed above, it will handle what I need for flow rate and overflow-power outage. There is just so much stuff to go under there it realy limits me. Realy botheres me cause I wanted some volume to the sump

Cool! I am going to be very picky about the rock I get so I can build a bunch of ledges and caves.
How small of a sump is too small? Ive come up with 30x18x14, it will hold the overflow volume fine but just doesnt seem that big. Im sure it will handle the flow so I guess I should not worry too much.

Another great looking coral! Where are you getting this stuff?
If I run the cude directly behing the tank I can take the sump to 36" long and have room for all the Ca reactor stuff. But then the pump is right next to my head when I sleep, and more importatly, by my Wifes head. But, the loss of flow would be minimal!
What to do, what to do!

Yeah, probably not the best place for it! Not good for my haelth.
How hard would it be to run the Ca reactor out of the stand?

Did you present a Risk Matrix, or better yet convince the CFO it was her idea, You know when they say, I dont want that thing in this house, you put it in the garage.

Well anyway, great progress Robert. Keep the pics coming.

According to the CFO the proposed proojct doesnt fit into the companies plan for tighter control over the P&L statement. Youll notice that the gross margin was barely made last year and that the GMROI is falling short of the projected mark. There fore that project has been put on indefinate hold and the scaled down version has been approved if for no other reason than company moral.
Please note that full accountability of all expendatures must be presented to regional management and progress walks will be done on a random basis to check the continued feasability and financial justification of the project and all expenses occured during its completion.
Please note that any drop in share holder value will result in the immediate termination of this project and susbsequent relocation of specific body parts belonging to project manager,by the CFO.
