Okay, here we go! Just made the list of stuff I still need, mostly more bulkheads, lockline stuff etc... The layourt in the stand is a bit of a challenge. Im going to run the chiller out of the stand so that helps with space. Im trying to decide on the sump dimensions wich is a bit of a struggle since I have to leave room for a Ca reactor and bottle. I have a 10g for top off, the skimmer pump and the return pump. Im going to run the skimmer in the sump to save space and I realy can only go 14" high on the sump so that I have good access to everything. The CLS pump will be elevated in the stand to reduce head and save space, I may have to put it over the top off tank . That way I think Ill have room for the reactor. Just have to settle on the sump design.
My whole goal of this tank is an efficient BB SPS system. TRT has given me a pretty good arsenal of info and ideas so this should come out great!
It will take a bit of time to get everything together but then it will be time to let er rip!
Robert

Robert, can you put any of the equip in the basement (do you have a basement). It would give you much more options.

Im running two 250 watt MH and 440 watts of VHO Casey.
No basement Rich. The only way to realy isolate the equipment would be to put the tank in the coat closet (perfect fit!) and run everything into the garage. I presented that proposal to my CFO and was denied and open status on the project. I think I found a sump size that will handle the backwash from a power outage but its not as big as I wanted for the sump. Its 30x18x14 high. Realy doesnt hold much, maybe myself or someone else will have a better idea!
