junk on my rock

what does it mean if i keep having to blow all kinds of junk off the LR?
the tank is 65 g. approx. 70lbs of rock, im using a Little Giant 2-mdqx-sc for return from
sump , a mag drive 1200 to drive a scwd.
my skimmer is a top fantom 110a using the a LG 2-mdqx-sc pump to drive it .
i fell i have pleanty of water movment, also im using a fulval 404 canister
w/a spray bar to keep stuff form building up under the rock which is 2" off
the bottom being held up w/pvc feet on egg creat to allow the water to move freely thru.

just keeps building up , i dont feed but a couple of times a week.
i thought that this would eventually stop.
sorry if its a hard read, coffee makes me crazy

Remember, the inside of the rock houses animals too, from bacteria to fairly large worms in places. As these guy's process waste they produce their own waste and shove it out of the rock. People who "cook" their rock (placing it in a seperate system that is not lighted or fed), find that the rock will take months before it stops shedding detritus, so in a system that houses animals, yu can see where complete elimination of this rock detritus is probably not possible.
