I think you arfe talking about power compacts, that will be the bare min for most anemones, and some would argue that it was not enough.

Thanks Brent. I cant wait for them to come in. 4 bulbs over a 40 gal should do the trick.

yea I should have posted b4 I ordered, but I was having trouble giving my self the go ahead. So I listened to my friend who just got them and he said the actinic + was just for looks and not for growth. We will see, I hope my order got fixed.

hopefully u caught it in time. I too was having a hard time choosing bulbs since one never knows what bulb combo u will like until u have them setup. Even the order u put the bulbs makes a difference on how the tank looks. This is the reason why I have an extra super actinic bulb laying around the house

i am jumping off and going to MH w/ VHO actinic. Good growth but color can never quite match what they look like in the guys tank i am getting frags from. I've tried many many different t5 bulbs and just when i think i am getting pretty good color, i go visit someone who has an MH SPS tank and it depresses me that mine just don't look as good.

montis always look great but some of those fussy acros just never look the same under T5. Just my opinion. Sorry for being negative in my first post lol
