Ok, I said I would not buy anything new until after the new tank was up but I was picking up some coral for somebody and I stubled across the coolest fish I have ever seen. It was in with a bunch of Bar Gobies and I noticed it becuase it started changing colors while I was looking at it. They called it a "Flashing Tilefish" I havn't been able to find any info on it but I had to have it. It changes while it swims around, I've seen it go from Teal to Purple to Red and it's fins have turned yellow and purple.
Sorry about the horrible picture but I didn't want to clean the glass while its getting used to it's new home, anyways here if the crapiest picture of the coolest fish ever!

It's awesome, it looks digital when he changes, it kind of looks like a shimmer and then his whole body is a different color

Found this on marinecenter:
Quote:
| Latin Name | Hoplolatilus chlupatyi | | Common Name | Flashing Tilefish | | Also known as | Chameleon Tilefish | | Fast Facts | NOTE: This species is a very delicate shipper, it is difficult to maintain and is not covered by our Live Arrival Guarantee
This is one of the most amazing members of the family. It gets its name from its ability to change colors instantaneously. It can various shades of green, blue and silver. Unfortunately, it is notoriously difficult to maintain and ship. It can also be housed with other members of the genus. This fish rarely behaves aggressively towards heterospecifics. Like all in the genus, it is prone to jumping out of open aquariums. Turning lights off and on gradually and keeping a night light on at night may help prevent them from jumping. The Flashing Tilefish is always in demand, and they're very rarely seen in the trade.
NOTE: This is a species is not covered by our Live Arrival Guarantee | | Sizes | Generally around 3"-4.5" SIZE WILL VARY
| | Range in Nature | West-Pacific | | Minimum Aquarium Size | 55 | | Diet and Feeding | Carnivore. Feed a varied diet of meaty foods, several times a day. Live food may be needed to get this fish to eat. | | Ease of Care(5=easy, 1=difficult) | | | Reef Aquarium Compatibility | This is a suitable for the reef tank. Make sure to feed it several times a day. | | Related Fish | Bluejaw Tilefish, Purple Tilefish, Skunk Tilefish, More Tilefishes | | Availability | Very Rare, always unpredictable availability

I cut, stained and sealed the wood for under and on top of the stand, cut the foam and put the stand in place.

Looks nice. I'm assuming you're going to enclose the stand because of equipment, but so far it's great.

this looks really cool, love that huge tank and sump! that tilefish is nice. most don't even bother with them even though they are so cool bc they usually import horribly as far as I understand it.
