Hard to tell from the pic, but I'd guess H. erectus. H. kuda females tend to be yellow and males tend to be tan/grey even. Erectus can change colours at will more than other species that I've observed (anecdotal.. not scientific!).
Thick head, big chest, flat crown all tell me this is erectus. Kuda is a smaller, daintier horse typically.
It would help if you could find out where it was collected.
How long have you had it? Is it eating, and if so, what is it eating? Looks fat and sassy enough - looks female from the pic but it's not close enough to see if there's a pouch there but judging by the shape of the belly I'd say it's a girl.
I got a boy of the same species in my shop yesterday

First time I've seen a male available for a while. I get mostly tank raised but I do get the occasional wild caught and I train them to frozen before I sell them. Erectus are usually easy to train to frozen foods and their babies are benthic - they hitch from birth, and are easier to rear than pelagic species like H. reidi.
My only concern would be the colour change - sometimes turning a dark colour means they aren't content with their surroundings. Is this possible? Sometimes they just change to 'blend in' but I've bought black horses that have coloured up and turned yellow after being in my system. Typically lighter colours are happy colours but again depends on the species.
