Jeff-1, Green Bird Wrasse-0
Got a bit of work , but i got him! a third of the rockwork, had to move all the SPS frags outa the tank, so i would not frag more of them(with my net) but after close to 2 hrs spent today, i finally netted the Green Bird Wrasse i am to take to my buddy's/ex partner's LFS , got it from him , a few years ago, did fine, nice colored GBW, grwe nice , did ok,,,but munched on every critter i had in the tank , over time, .since i'm going to the
Keys inna few days, and plan to return with some critter goodies, i knew the GBW had to go.(my wife has been harpin' on me took get him outa the tank"he's too big for the tank now" ) Did i listen,,,? nope,my reason to remove him, so it's my idea, right,,,,Well the tank is re-aarranged now, at least the third of it,,,
I prob looked like Curley of the 3 stooges,in the lake after the duck,,and felt as frustrated,But , he's in the bucket now, and will soon be on his way to be sold again , gonna miss him(i say this only after a celebratory "adult beverage" to celebrate, and the time since i ended up netting him )Got the Magnum on the tank to clean up what i stirred up, and will do a good w/c when i return later,,
Just thought would relay my experience to you all,,,,,YAHOO!

I'm glad and sad Tim, We both liked that fish, why else would we had gotten it,,LOL.
But, since i wanted to have crabs, snails etc, in the tank again,(the green bugger wiped out anything bigger than bristleworms) and knew i'd be wasting my time adding any more with him in there, i knew he had to go
And the fact that my wife has been "harping" on me get him outa the tank("he's too big in there now")i knew it had to be done, but dreaded what i was in for if/when i did go to remove him.
No pics LOL, the mental image and the styro's still in the living room are enuf of a memory , thank you,,,LOL
Luckily she was sleepin' while i did the "tank re-arranging" ,otherwise she woulda heard some choice words from me, and GBW laughing as he taunted me for a few hrs,,,On the plus side i got to see all the cool stuff deep down in the LR ,as i took it out and put it in styros,,LOL,and all the lil "bugs" that jumped off the LR,while in the styros,(they got put back in the tank)
Maybe pics,or a video would have been cool to do, with The Three Stooges melody in the background,,,LOL

remember my wrasse master thread a couple of years ago? http://www.thereeftank.com/forums/sh...=wrasse+master You should have hooked it. You are not a real fisherman until you hook one out of your tank!

Heh!
They never get caught in the act either, until you suddenly realize that there are not any snails on the glass. Mine was very clever, it was taking the snails to the back of the tank and breqaking oen the snail shells, eating the snails, then hiding the shells under the rock. When I took that tank down for the move I found around 50 large snail shells under the back edge of the PVC pilings under two pieces of rock around 30 or so pounds, the GBW was very sneaky about hiding the evidence...
Funny how when you're working in the tank, they are all around your hands, but you bring the net into view and they hide in the rockwork. Seems like I got $80 for mine (it was pretty big by then).
