JBJ Nano Cubes

I am getting a JBJ 24G Dx Nano Cube that I am setting up to be my first reef tank. I was wondering if anybody has some specific info or heads up on this tank? Is the 72 watts of compact Floresent lighting enough for Anenomes and other inverts\corals? the math comes out to 3 compact floresent watts per gallon. Is the water flow in this tank suffcient? Should I put a protien skimmer on this size tank? Any other info for this tank would be greatly apprciated, Thanks - Jason - jason@storter.com
PS - If anybody is from Alaska or knows of any groups in Alaska please let me know I would love to find some reef hobbyist in my area.

Well I just set one up (or am currently doing it.) The lighting is pretty good, adequate for some corals so long as you don't try to put a bunch of SPS in it. My new torch coral seems to be doing well and it's near the bottom.

Anyways I got 30lbs of live rock and 20lbs live sand, added a rio 50 and a rio 800 (rio 50 is pointed up for increased agitation and aeration). I don't really think the pump it came with is enough. Also I put a tape cassette over the intake to make it into an overflow - works pretty well.

Take out the bio balls and ceramic rings... I am going to put some tonga rock in that chamber later on but for now it has some sea chem and filter floss.

Well with any tank be smart, take it slow and test it a lot. Mine never really cycled (cured live rock I guess) but the nitrates seem to hover around 10ppm for whatever reason.

Cleanup crew is
6 blue legged hermit crabs
4 scarlet legged hermit crabs
5 astera snails
6 nassarius snails
1 queen conch
1 fire shrimp

and maybe a sea cuke if I can fine one who wont spill his guts everywhere.
