JBJ ATO questions and concerns

Ok this looks like a neat setup but i was wondering if it would work on my 24 gallon ap? My concern is where to mount the sensors. Will they fit on the back of my tank and hang into my false wall area? The two chambers behind the false wall is where i lose my water level, not in the display area. I duno why but it does. Is this easy to hook up? What other stuff will i need to hook this unit up? Does anybody have pics of this on there ap or nanocube? So my main concern is will the sensors fit behind the false wall. Comments please!

Geoff i may need you to come over one day and look at my tank, tell me what i need and help me set something up.

i can do that, either that or start posting a lot of pics of the area in question.

those float switches are really small so they can fit just about anywhere.

what are the dimensions of those areas? i am pretty sure my float switches are right at an inch in diamter. as long as you have that much room a bracket can be made to hold the switch. the best place is somewhere where water is not falling directly on top of the switch, it will make it less reliable.

Geoff,
In the fist picture were you see the heater and on the other side were the hob filter is, there is 1.5 inches of clearence to the tee. That is from the lip on the back of the tank to the false wall. Cutting it close???? Man i duno!
If my evaporation would just be in the display area and not behind the false wall this would not be a problem. What do you think?

i think it can be done. if my float switches were not permanently mounted i would let you borrow one to see if it would fit. i am pretty sure they are all the same size.

it would be not trouble to make a little L bracket out of acrylic for the switch. not sure if there will be enough room to put both switches in there if you wanted to do the redundant switch setup though.

Ok then if you think it can be done i'll go ahead and buy one. I will try to hook it up myself and see how it goes, if it gets ulgy i will try to get you over when your not busy and do it. No i dont want nothing for free you put a price on it and it will be done. Thanks again for your advise. You have awalys replied to my questions and awalys seem to help. Thanks Geoff.

what method of water delivery are you thinking of using. air fed pressure vessel or a PH in a tank? for your size tank either will work just fine. just curious.

all i want is frags and or labor when i decide to actually install my settling tank.

this will also work, not sure if having the second float switch is necessary in your setup. the only reason why i would see to use the second float switch would be to turn off the pump if the water in the water delivery vessel got really low.
