Jawfish QT

Jawfish are pretty much the MUST HAVE fish for the new tank and the biggest reason for a DSB. I was thinking about it tonight and how the heck do you QT a Jawfish? The QT we'll be setting up will be a 20g. Wouldn't that stress a jawfish out bigtime to be in a completely bare tank for a month?? I'll set up a piece or two of PVC, but there obviously won't be anything to burrow in. Will this be OK for them or should I use a diff. QT method?

That's a really good question. What kind of jaw are you looking to get?

They are cute indeed! I wonder if a small piece of pipe might do the trick.

they ARE like, the cutest little things... get this, I have TWO, much by accident..

I got this first one, and named him "Schneider", since he went strait to work being a handyman like that guy on "One Day At A Time"

Well, after his first night watching him dig a hole in the front of my tank under a featherduster... I never saw him again! I thought "Jeez... he hasn't even come out to EAT... and it's been over a week.. I guess he musta been a good snack for the hermits"

So I ordered another one..

So then, I was feeding my tank, LITERALLY waiting, AS THE FED EX TRUCK was IN ROUTE TO MY HOUSE FOR MY DELIVERY... and the little twerp pops up at me from behind a rockl! So I snapped this pic after I was done squealing and cursing him:

LOL, LITTLE B@S-TURD!! lol

So my new one came an hour later, I named it "Mrs. Romano" (To keep with the 70s sitcom tribute I had going on at this point)...

and I haven't seen her since... but I KNOW she's in there, 'cos I aint gonna fall for THAT again...
and I hadn't seen either of them until today, when Schneider popped his little buggery self up out at me

Ummm... ok, this reply went nowhere, I dunno what to do about QTing them... mine's got himself such a cave under that rock, I dunno how I'd get him OUT (or Mrs. Romano, if I could find her).. let ALONE what to do about a barebottomed tank...

Maybe put some small shells & larger ones in a "pile" so they can at least feel "hidden"?
