Yep those are only rated for low flow and no pressure.

Honestly most people I have head throw them away after 6 months.

Also does your tank have a single or dual overflow? They usually are not rated for more than 600gph...

i'm not sure what they are going to do when i hook them up to the new pump but i did have them running with my little giant pump that is rated at 600 gph and it worked but bearly. but either way i have them and already ordered the new pump so i will post on what happens.

if i have to throttle back on the pump that wont be a problem.
the reason i went with the pressure pump is that the sump at some point will be in another room. just planning for the future.

I would check with the mfg but if it's rated for 600 or less gph you WILL have a flow on your hands if you got a 1000ish pump.

With the 4 elbows and extra pipe up top in addition to the hydors, you should be well below the 600 gph drain rating.

well i just installed the pan world pump and all i can say is WOW.
this pump is pushing every bit of 790gph even with the 2 hydor's it is way more pump then they can handle.i thought it was going to blow them off the tubing.
i instaled a ball valve and had it almost 3/4 of the way shut to throttle the pump back. so rather then waste the flow of the pump i'm going to run the pvc to the end of the tank and down to the bottom then across the bottom to the other side then drill holes to add flow to the bottom side of the rock lift.
