Good Morning, John, Butch, Patrick, Perry, Jeff, Vinny, Cath, Wily, Eric, Tim, & zxcv123!

Thanks, Perry. Prolly a wise thing to wait a year and let some more dust settle before making such a big step. Remember that Tom's already set the date for the next Hawg Roast at 3rd Sat. in May. Timing is everything.

Vinnie, good luck with the house hunt.

Will do, Jeff. 4 weeks off at a stretch would be hard to handle unless you had unlimited finances. I go broke in a week on vacation!

Cath, I can only twiddle my thumbs so long. It's going to be a looong day.

Tim, she's been living on 6 hrs later time so this day will have nearly 30 hrs. in it for her. I expect tomorrow will literally be a day of rest for her. I talked to her just before her plane left Paris and could tell she is tired.

Hope everyone enjoys their Saturday.

Dick

Halloween is ON! We are doing a warmup party on the 21st with hopefully a band, about six grills going and a full keg of Fat Tire.

Yep Dick letting the dust settle is in my opinion a good idea. A year of bliss will be a good precursor towards future plans. It would be a shame to walk away from these beautiful gardens anyway.

Well, one good thing about being a 'lectrician in a steelworkers union is I get paid for my vacations .Could be better, if i was in a real electrical union, and got paid fer what i know and do. But with a yr to go to hit my 30 yrs, a lil too late to complain now, grrrr.

The bad part is: they used to have 13 weeks vacation when you would get "X" amount of years in. Of course the union gave that up a few contracts ago, and i woulda been in place to get it prob a second or third time by now . ( i remember my dad having 13 weeks off, sometime inna row when i was a kid, working with Pops on our rental properties was not my idea of summer fun at that age )

I get a week my first year in a small company making thingies for open heart surgery and mammograms. Four weeks off happens at nine years. I have to admit those 30 well earned days when I was a bubblehead were pretty nice.

I agree though Dick..who could afford that much time off?
