I went away for three days took kids to Disney. I had one of those automatic feeders hooked up "Hydor" and had the air pump attached to it. As a precaution I feed the fish really good one hour prior to leaving. Do not know if the feeder worked or not but it looke like it did its job, flake food that was left when I got back was still flaky.
Anywho, before I left I was adding buffer left and right and could not mantain a ph of 8.3. Imagine my supprize when I get home yesterday and the darn PH was perfect. What the %$#^? I been busting my buns to get the PH right, go away and the ph is perfect. Now forward one day after I fed my fish, ph down to 8.12.
I read other post and am aware that PH changes trough the day, I am triying to figure out why was PH better when I was gone and now is crappy again

Hope I do not have to permanently move out the house in order to keep a good PH
To rule overfeeding out I will not feed them today to see how things look tomorrow, not certain fish will like this, I usually feed them two pinches of flakes in a little garlic juice. I would not think this is allot?
On a side note, I been triying to move this anemonie that attached itself to a rock for some time. Can yuo beleive that the SOB moved while I was gone?
