Is this Normal?


Do clams extend this far over the shell? Just curious as I'm new to the clam thing!

is that a favites or favia right next to the clam? you might want to move the clam. the sweeper tentacles from those corals are pretty bad news.

great looking clam. mine does not extand like that! it does about half of that. i am new to the clam thing also.

Johnny what you see is normal, just keep an eye out though, if it starts to flap that mantel its going to take off quick.

Geoff and Douglas Lowery!! I have move the moon coral(favia sp) about 8" away from the clam and should be ok! Funny one night last week I saw a couple of sweepers on the coral and one was about 3"! Thanks guys!
