Is this extension cord ok to use?
I am having trouble getting an extention cord at the stores near me. I want to use an extention cord to connect my power compact lights to my power strip. I want one 4 - 6 feet. I found this one in the basement. It doesn't have any info on it but it is the perfect size and I like that the end is flat. It fits into the timer perfectly. Would this be ok to use. Does anyone have any internet sites that have what I am looking for.

Larger gauge wire the better. That is an extension cord for a washer. Look at HD or Home Depot.

Look back by the appliance accessories. I've never not seen them in the store.

Make your own if you want a specific length. I bought 50' of extention cord cable and a bunch of ends. I just cut the length I wanted, put two ends on it and I have an extension cable. I don't remember what guage I bought but it was enought to run my MH's. I like it because I don't have extra. It was really easy. You strip the end a little, feed it though the hold then screw down three screws and your done. Check it out in the electrical department.
