Is this bryopsis?

http://doods.stvleaze.net/movies/algae.JPG

This is a new tank, been up about 2 weeks. This stuff just started growing like crazy out of one of my rocks. Since the rock was small I tossed it. It also was growing on the right hand side of my tank in the sand. Since the tank is new, I simply sucked it all up with a siphon.

There was still some peices that floated off. Is this stuff going to take over my whole tank? I just added the cleanup crew. My fighting conch seems to eat the stuff.

Any help is appriciated.. Thanks!!!

Looks like derbesia to me. That's the other "hair algae".

If you're going to cycle your rocks with the lights on, you're going to grow algae. Next time get a good algae eating crew in place as soon as your nitrites are zero.
