is this a zoa eating nudi


i noticed that my zoas were not opening much and a couple disapeared. so after the lights went out i found this guy on my zoas is this what i think it is.

looks to be a hydroid.....or sea spider. cant tell. if its either.....you dont want it in your tank. If its a sea spider.....you CERTAINLY dont want it in your tank.

thats it sea spider went on to xtraworld .com and found that same one. called pycnogonids. in his post he said that he found that no reef dip or anythig else will kill them and recomend that if found it would be better to get rid of the piece. i hope he is wrong

ok now I have the heebyjeebys. Didnt know there was such a thing. I hate spiders of any kind. I barely tolerate some of my bigger pods, and like the thought that they get ate. This thread should come with a warning.

WOW! That thing is creepy. Saw some pics the other day and was kinda creeped out. Hope I never see one in my or worse yet my wife see one in there. Oh boy.

its amazing how much damage they can do in such little time. i would say it ate atleast 5 to 6 zoas in about a week

it really does he came on a new piece that i just got dipped it but did not kill him but killed alot of pods and flat worms. funny but he did not seem to like the zoas that were on the piece he came on but i had another piece in QT. and within days he went to town on them. glad i found him fairly quick
