is this a steal or what!!!!

about a week ago i ordered my tek light 4 bulb fixture... and its suppose to be here today , then i get a call from the place i ordered it from and he is telling me they shipped me the wrong fixture. instead of the 4 bulb they sent me the 8 bulb and i don't have to pay the difference! do you think the 8 bulb is overkill for my 75g? the dimensions are 48"L x 18"W x 20"H. if it is is it possible to only use 4 bulb on a 8 bulb fixture? or maybe 6?

Thats exactly what i want to order. Lucky you. I would think it would be ok to use and it should fit. I don't think it would be any harm to use 4 or 6 bulbs on it for now. Do they have a clear plexi glass on the bottom side of them to protect it? Is yours a hang on or what?

You don't have to use all 8 bulbs. Personally I would use the extras for more actinic since I like the blue look.

Very cool! Depending on what your keeping you may find running all 8 is too much,.. You may want to use only 6 and keep anything you want,.. be sure to shade things like mushrooms though.

i got it with the bracket legs and on the lens cover , you have to buy that separate... just got home no light at the door yet still waiting lol

lol talk about a deal the only down fall is your going you need to buy 8 bulbs instead of 4 but look at the bright side you can go sps now.

member of the i hate fpl(florida power and light) club beacuse the just jacked up my light bill by 18% club and they made me get rid of my wifes reef tank causing mass comotion in my household.
