is this a good refractometer?

There is another one on the site that has the exact same description and picture, but costs $10 more????

Thats a decent one. One thing about Marine Depot is that their prices are always a good indication of what Stuff is worth. If you can usually find the same stuff for up to 10% less, but never more than that as they are pretty competitive.

So has anybody had any problems with this one? If so, i'd rather not waste the money.

That one is fine. Like most refractometers, you just need to make sure it is dry when you are done using it and try not to get it wet on the calibration screw or the calibration screw will rust and be unable to be calibrated. I must admit my refractometer right now cant be calibrated. 1.030 really means 1.026. I know becasue i calibrated it to my hydrometer

That's the refracto I use and it works great! The most important thing to look for IMHO is the ATC (auto temp correction) and this one has it.

I just ordered this one yesterday, it has the temperature adjustment so i hope it's good.
